Nine
trade and service companies currently
participate in DESINOVA. Here you can read
more about the companies and projects
created in collaboration with design
companies.
BabySam
has 32 stores around the country and is
Denmark's largest distributor of baby
articles. Within DESINOVA, BabySam has
focused on the development of a new “Service
/ Counseling Approach 2.0.” The concept
includes developing employee skills to
decode user needs. The project has been
conducted in collaboration with the design
firm DESIGN CONCERN.

Bahne’s 17 lifestyle stores sell
handicrafts, gift items, and fashions to the
Danes. In collaboration with the design firm
Factor-3, Bahne’s DESINOVA project aimed to
develop a new Web universe aimed at
attracting new customers.

CSC is one of the world’s leading IT
service providers. It delivers IT solutions
to a wide range of private and public
clients. CSC Denmark and the design company
Knud Holscher Design have developed a new
concept for handling digital
building-projects in four Danish communities
that places a strong focus on user
involvement.

Danske Privathospitaler is Denmark's
only nationwide private hospital. With more
than 100 highly educated specialists, Danske
Privathospitaler offers most forms of
treatments and examinations. Together with
the design firm Kontrapunkt, Danske
Privathospitaler is developing a new Web
universe within plastic and cosmetic surgery
based on a thorough study of patients’ needs
and their use of the Web.

DSB is Denmark's largest transport
operator, an independent public company
owned by the Transport and Energy Ministry.
DSB’s DESINOVA project is being carried out
in collaboration with the design firm DN.
The project seeks broader and more regular
use of electronic media and equipment.
Moreover, the process will develop DSB’s
competencies in service design and
innovation with a particular focus on user
involvement and co-creation.

Merlin, one of Denmark’s largest
retailers of computers and consumer
electronics, and the design firm Triagonal
have worked on a DESINOVA project to improve
Merlin stores’ customer orientation. The
project especially recognizes women's
influence in the purchasing process. In
Autumn 2008, Merlin was acquired by Elbodan,
owner of the large electronics chain Expert.
PFA Pension is Denmark’s largest
provider and manager of retirement
portfolios for its business customers (companies
that employ workers). PFA, in collaboration
with the design companies live|work, MOVE
Integrated Design, and People & Product has
implemented a large IT and service-design
project, laying the foundation to improve
its customer experience from first to last
touch point.

Spejder Sport is Denmark's largest
supplier of clothing for an active outdoor
life. Via their DESINOVA project, Spejder
Sport and the design company Gramstrup have
changed Spejder Sport’s strategic focus from
being predominantly inward and
product-oriented to being more
outward-looking and focused on customers and
users.

Dansk
Revision is a nationwide chain of
auditors with offices in 27 cities and more
than 500 employees. Together with the design
firm Faktor 3 and GEMBA Innovation, Dansk
Revision conducted a project focusing on
developing new consulting services that lie
beyond the traditional audit services.
Starting with the identification of customer
needs, several new consulting service
concepts are developed.
